Job purpose:
The Pastry Cook is a full time position which supports the production of high-quality pastries and desserts, through consistent execution, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and efficient production practices.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily production of cookies, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Execute recipes precisely and consistently to maintain quality standards and minimize mistakes and product loss.
- Demonstrate strong pastry technique and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adheres to all food safety and occupational safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate respectfully and effectively with team members across pastry, creamery, and retail operations.
- Additional tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- 1+ year combination of education and/or experience in pastry and/or confection
- Culinary degree preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stay on task and use time efficiently
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Working conditions:
- Position may require evenings, weekends and overtime as necessary.
- Primarily indoor work in kitchen, production, freezer, and storage environments with varying temperatures.
- GMP Facility requiring adherence to Food Safety protocols and procedures
Physical requirements:
Pastry Cook is required to stand for extended periods of time, solo lift up to 50# on a regular basis, Team lift 70# occasionally, and perform repetitive tasks with few breaks.
