Bethlehem Childcare & Summer Camp
Join our dynamic and faith-centered team as a Summer Camp Staff Member, where you’ll help create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children throughout the summer months. This position is ideal for individuals who love working with kids, enjoy an active workday, and want to make a meaningful impact while developing leadership and childcare skills.
Our Summer Camp serves children in grades K–8, offering engaging activities that support growth, creativity, and positive relationships in a Christian setting.

Position Purpose:
To provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for individual and group activities while modeling Christian values and supporting the mission of Bethlehem.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, outdoor games, field trips, and swim times
- Create and maintain a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campers
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate daily schedules and activities
- Maintain constant supervision and follow all safety and licensing protocols
- Use positive behavior management strategies, including a Love and Logic–based approach
- Prepare, distribute, and supervise snack times
- Ensure children are properly signed in and out by authorized adults
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and activity spaces
- Document incidents, injuries, and behaviors and communicate appropriately with parents and leadership
- Provide first aid and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
- Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance
- Communicate openly, kindly, and professionally with parents, team members, and the Director

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of three months (480 hours) of verifiable experience working with school-age children (or equivalent part-time experience), per Colorado State Regulations
- Experience working with children in childcare, daycare, preschool, tutoring, babysitting, or camp settings preferred
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Genuine passion for working with children and creating positive summer experiences
Preferred but not required:
- Background in early childhood education, special education, sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling
- CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if needed)
Required Trainings & Clearances (Provided and/or Required)
- Colorado Bureau of Investigation criminal background check with fingerprints
- Current physical and immunizations
- Mandatory reporter of Child Abuse and Neglect
- CPR and First Aid certification (within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter)
- Universal Precautions, Concussion training, and medication delegation (training provided)
- Completion of 15 annual clock hours in Child Growth and Development

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.45 - $23.00 per hour
