Our Ideal Candidate
You may be a particularly strong fit if you're a college student-athlete who wants a part-time position that complements your education and career goals.
Students majoring in areas such as Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, Exercise Science, Recreation, or Coaching are strongly encouraged to apply.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just like kids. You should genuinely enjoy teaching young people and helping them improve.
You understand that a great instructor isn't necessarily the person with the flashiest technique. A great instructor can get down to a four-year-old's level, capture their attention, make learning exciting, maintain appropriate standards, and help that child leave class feeling successful.
What We're Looking For in a Teammate
Character matters.
We value people who are:
Coachability — You want feedback and use it to improve.
Energy — You bring enthusiasm to the training floor.
Responsibility — When you're scheduled, students and teammates can count on you.
Professionalism — You understand that parents are trusting us with their children.
Service — You notice when a student or parent needs help and take action.
Growth Mindset — You want to become a better instructor, communicator, and leader.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with a brief explanation of:
- Your martial arts background and current rank
- Your experience teaching children
- Your current school/college and area of study, if applicable
- Why you enjoy working with young people
- Confirmation that you are available for the Monday–Thursday schedule listed above
Please do not apply if you do not have previous martial arts experience and experience working with children.
We are looking for someone who wants to teach, lead, grow, and make a difference. For the right person, it's an opportunity to take the skills you've developed through martial arts and use them to positively influence the next generation of students.
