TITLE: Certified Personnel Specialist
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate and three years extensive experience in an office environment with responsibility for complex duties. Associates degree in related field preferred. Typing skill of 45 wpm. Must have working knowledge of PC applications (word processing, database, and spreadsheets). Must have the ability to function in a high volume and multifaceted environment.
REPORTS TO: Certified Personnel Supervisor
JOB GOAL: To assist in maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Resources department through support and assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides administrative support to the supervisor by coordinating and preparing meeting materials, including agendas and supporting documentation.
Coordinates with schools, colleges, and universities regarding student teacher placements, internships, and field experience opportunities, while maintaining comprehensive records and documentation for all participants and partnering institutions.
Monitors and processes Opportunity Culture and Highly Effective Teacher Incentive programs, maintaining accurate records.
Facilitates and monitors Vector training for compliance.
Manages employee transfer window process in accordance with district guidelines.
Coordinates and attends recruitment events including local job fairs.
Processes monthly Human Resources payroll activities ensuring accuracy and timely completion of payroll-related transactions.
Generates and distributes daily HRMS reports to the CCS Student Information Systems Office.
Supports district recruiting initiatives by assisting with recruitment activities.
Coordinates and prepares correspondence with the Board Attorney’s Office regarding educational partnership Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), ensuring compliance with district requirements and established procedures.
Serves as a backup to the Application Specialist providing continuity of operations and support during staff absences.
Receives telephone calls and visitors, provides information regarding school and/or departmental activities and programs. Refers difficult or unusual matters to the appropriate individual/department.

Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Hand and finger dexterity for accurate input and output of computer data.
Auditory acuity at a level to hear telephone conversations, customer questions and concerns, and supervisor vocalized instructions.
Visual acuity to read and analyze computer screen, documents and correspondence.
Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word.
