Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and help maintain a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Prepare treatment rooms by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Assist in dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
- Operate 3D scanners when necessary for specific treatments or diagnostics.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical coding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using dental software, is a plus.
- Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills related to dentistry, and advanced technologies like 3D scanning.
