Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Insulator to join our dynamic construction team. Your expertise will ensure that insulation and related components are properly fitted, secured, and compliant with safety standards and blueprints. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver high-quality results that enhance building performance and energy efficiency.
Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool using hand tools and power tools.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously when handling power tools, ladders, and working at heights to prevent accidents.
- Use ladder techniques safely to access elevated areas for insulation installation or maintenance tasks.
- Apply caulking, stucco, plastering, or masonry techniques as needed to ensure proper sealing and finishing of insulation work.
- Collaborate with framing carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on construction sites.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as knives, trowels, measuring tapes, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools including drills and saws.
- Skilled in climbing ladders safely and working at heights in various environmental conditions.
- Adherence to safety protocols including proper use of power tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and supervisors on-site.
