Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare regulations, with a passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes across diverse clinical settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, suturing, and wound care while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously in acute care environments such as ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms, providing critical interventions as needed.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations and laboratory specimen collection while ensuring proper processing and documentation.
- Provide specialized care for populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with procedures like catheterization, ventilator management, tube feeding, and ostomy care in accordance with best practices.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, medication administration, and discharge planning to promote recovery and well-being.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient record management.
- Extensive experience with various clinical procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing, and aseptic technique.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for comprehensive patient assessment.
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or trauma centers with familiarity in trauma medicine and acute pain management.
- Ability to perform triage effectively in urgent care or emergency room environments while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors in memory or assisted living facilities; individuals with disabilities; pediatric or neonatal patients.
- Familiarity with occupational health protocols, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance to ensure safety and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, therapists, case managers, and families.
