Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and mineral wool across residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute insulation plans
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to secure insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, basements, and other areas
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of insulation with framing, drywall, roofing, and finishing work
- Perform site inspections to verify proper installation techniques and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with fabrication tasks related to insulation components or custom fittings as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material calculations
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in insulation work
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, framing techniques (including metal stud framing), stucco application, caulking methods, and masonry basics is highly desirable
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques for custom insulation components or accessories
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction painting, concrete finishing, airless paint spraying, and other trades involved in building projects
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different trades and project phases
