Atlas Coffee Club is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated team member to step into the role of Lead Operator. This is an internal leadership opportunity for an employee who consistently demonstrates reliability, accountability, and a commitment to helping the team succeed.
The Lead Operator is responsible for preparing the production floor before the team arrives, coordinating daily fulfillment activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving and organizing inbound materials, replenishing production supplies, and supporting the overall flow of materials throughout the facility.
This is a working leadership role, meaning the Lead Operator will actively participate in regular coffee fulfillment and warehouse duties while providing direction, support, and coaching to teammates to ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer expectations are met.

Communicate with the Roasting team and generate Regular Fulfillment batches each morning.

Edit the Regular Fulfillment Summary Sheet as needed.

Send the fulfillment summary sheet to the Roasting team via Slack, including Premium, Decaf, Rare, and Quarterly pound totals.

Print summary sheets for the Specials table.
-
Create grind sheets for the grinder.
-
Print and distribute summary sheets for the Autobagger, Specials, and Box Maker teams.
-
Print and distribute lane sheets with the appropriate labels for Whole Bean, Ground, and Specials lanes.
-
Print and sort labels for the Specials table.
-
Print and sort all 3- to 6-count labels for the kitting team.
-
Print and sort all Quarterly Whole Bean and Ground orders.
-
Turn on label applicators, case sealer, and lane equipment prior to the start of the shift.
-
Distribute Redzone tablets to production lanes and autobaggers.
-
Ensure all production materials, equipment, and workstations are prepared before the team arrives.
-
Perform routine inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
-
Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with leadership to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
-
Process inventory adjustments, write-offs, and obsolete inventory as directed.
-
Maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
-
Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate low-stock items before they impact production.
-
Lead by example by actively participating in daily coffee fulfillment operations.
-
Assist with order fulfillment, packaging, labeling, kitting, and quality inspections as needed.
-
Coordinate workflow across production lanes to maximize efficiency and meet daily production goals.

Monitor production throughout the shift and adjust priorities as business needs change.
-
Provide guidance and support to team members while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety, and quality standards are consistently followed.

Verify product accuracy, packaging quality, and labeling before orders move to shipping.
-
Help identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-
Communicate production updates, equipment concerns, and inventory issues to leadership in a timely manner.
-
Step into any production area as needed to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
-
Maintain stock levels throughout the production floor by replenishing packaging materials, ingredients, and production supplies.
-
Deliver materials to production teams in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
-
Organize inventory to maximize efficiency and maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) practices whenever applicable.
-
Support production by preparing materials needed for upcoming production schedules.
-
Assist with staging materials for coffee roasting, fulfillment, and packaging operations.
-
Receive inbound deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
-
Inspect incoming materials for quality, accuracy, and damage, reporting any issues promptly.
-
Properly label, organize, and store incoming inventory.
-
Assist with outbound freight preparation and coordinate shipments with carriers when needed.
-
Maintain clean and organized receiving and warehouse areas.
-
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
-
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
-
Follow all food safety, warehouse safety, and company operating procedures.
-
Work closely with Production, Roasting, Purchasing, and Leadership to ensure materials are available when needed.
-
Communicate inventory concerns, receiving delays, or material shortages proactively.
-
Assist with process improvements that increase warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
-
Support other warehouse and production functions as business needs require.
-
Lead with professionalism, accountability, and respect.
-
Foster teamwork and encourage a positive culture on the production floor.

Support company initiatives and operational changes.

Hold yourself and others accountable to Atlas standards.

Promotion opportunity with a leadership pay increase of 5-10% (final percentage determined based on experience and qualifications).
