Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9AM to 6PM
Friday 8AM- 2PM
Pay: $26-$28
About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, professional, and works well in a fast-paced team environment.
The RDA will assist the dentist with clinical procedures, provide excellent patient care, maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, and help ensure the office operates efficiently, and is knowledgeable in digital X-Rays.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, restorative procedures, crowns, endodontics, oral surgery, and other dental procedures as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments before and after patient appointments.
- Take and process dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
- Perform coronal polishing and other expanded functions within the scope of certification/licensure.
- Take dental impressions and assist with lab procedures as needed.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to OSHA and infection-control standards.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
- Assist with patient flow and appointment preparation.
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and office policies.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and respectful patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienist, front office, and other team members.
Qualifications
- Bi-Lingual preffered but not required
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification/license in the state of CA.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current certifications/permits required by the state, including radiology and other applicable RDA credentials.
- Previous dental assisting experience required.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection-control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and must be a team player.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care.
