Overview
The Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control within a manufacturing RV/Trailer environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mid-line and final quality inspections on trailers throughout the manufacturing process.
- Inspect electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, aluminum fabrication, paint, decals, doors, windows, and overall fit and finish.
- Verify units are built according to engineering drawings, work orders, and customer specifications.
- Identify defects and work with production teams to ensure timely corrections.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
- Ensure all safety, quality, and compliance standards are met before units leave the facility.
- Conduct final road-readiness and operational inspections when required.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality.
- Communicate professionally with production supervisors, engineering, and management regarding quality concerns.
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of Quality Control experience in the RV, trailer, or specialty vehicle manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of RV and trailer construction, systems, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent analysis skills for interpreting data related to quality control processes.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality standards within our organization, ensuring that all products meet both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
