We are seeking an experienced Fine Dining Server to join our prestigious restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for exceptional customer service and a deep understanding of fine dining etiquette. As a Fine Dining Server, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding dining experience to our guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Present menus, provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage offerings, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha or Micros POS systems.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their meal by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for the next guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining service or upscale restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Strong culinary knowledge and understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Sales skills with an ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Experience with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
