Root for Kids mission is to nurture strong beginnings in all children and we are seeking a person who wants to make a difference for children in the Hildale/Colorado City community. Will team with another teacher to serve 8 children ages two to 3 years old in a childcare classroom setting. Full Time job with an excellent benefit package. PTO and paid vacation + 13 paid holidays throughout the year. Seeking a passionate and dedicated child care Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with young children in a daycare setting, ensuring they receive quality care and education while promoting their social, physical, and cognitive growth.
Skills
- Provide quality, developmentally appropriate, responsive care to children using research-based curricula.
- Develop and prepare weekly lesson plans based on the age and interests of children in the classroom.
- Set up classroom and playground experiences based on the lesson plans that have been developed.
- Maintain a clean and well organized environment.
- Conduct daily indoor and outdoor safety checks to ensure that a safe and healthy learning environment is provided.
- Communicate in a professional manner with parents.
- Adhere to Individual Family Service Plans for children with special needs.
Requires a minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) Certificate that may be obtained after hire. Must have strong experience working with children, preferably in a center-based program. Must keep accurate and timely daily logs/records. Good communication skills needed. Requires a person with full mobility, the ability to see, hear and speak, and lift up to 20 lbs.
