Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a commitment to providing personalized care in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment.
