American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.

NICU unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
-
Pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient population

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday rotation required

Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities

No on-call required

Charting via Epic (experience preferred)

Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Active RRT certification (NBRC)

South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required — license must be in hand at time of start; pending license may be considered

Current AHA certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP

Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant populations

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

License required if applicable

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Non-local candidates are prioritized; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be accepted on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
-
Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date

Candidates should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
-
Parking for nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 parking pass fee
