Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in infusion therapy to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infusion procedures and patient care across diverse clinical settings. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing services, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, medications, and therapies accurately following established protocols.
- Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and vital signs monitoring to determine appropriate interventions.
- Utilize advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic and Cerner to document care activities precisely and efficiently.
- Provide specialized infusion treatments including botulinum toxin therapy and other outpatient procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures.
- Educate patients and their families regarding infusion therapies, medication administration, and post-treatment care instructions.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
- Extensive experience with IV insertion, catheter care, and aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of complex infusion therapies such as botulinum toxin treatment and dialysis procedures.
- Critical care experience in settings like ICU or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical coding systems including ICD-10/ICD-9 for documentation accuracy.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to infusion therapy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.

Experience:
- Oncology: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (Preferred)
