POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Technician at Sureshine Care and Restoration Services exists to bridge technical excellence and field leadership, ensuring every job is executed to the highest standard of quality and every technician on the team has the direction, development, and support needed to perform at their best. This role oversees daily field operations, manages technician performance and scheduling, maintains equipment and material readiness, and serves as the primary point of contact for reservice work across all active job sites. By driving accountability, reducing reservice rates, and delivering consistently exceptional results, the Lead Technician plays a direct role in Sureshine's ability to retain clients, protect its reputation, and scale its operations with confidence.

OBJECTIVES
- Conduct structured monthly one-on-one meetings with each technician, documenting performance, development areas, and follow-up action items
- Achieve 100% equipment and materials readiness prior to job dispatch — zero job delays due to unpreparedness within 60 days of start
- Maintain client satisfaction scores at or above the company benchmark through quality work, proactive communication, and professional job site conduct
- Establish and maintain a consistent job assignment and scheduling process that eliminates coverage gaps and maximizes team efficiency
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all reservice work — triaging, scheduling, and resolving reservice jobs within agreed-upon timeframes
- Deliver performance coaching to underperforming technicians with documented improvement plans and measurable outcomes within 30 days of identifying an issue
- Develop technical competency in stone refinishing, Anti-Etch systems, and GCR applications — capable of training others to proficiency within six months
- Participate in the hiring process for at least one new technician candidate within the first year, contributing to screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Build and maintain a high-accountability team culture — resolving interpersonal issues directly and professionally without unnecessary escalation
- Track and report team performance metrics (quality, timeliness, service frequency, client satisfaction) to the Field Operations Manager on a regular cadence

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in natural stone restoration, masonry, flooring, or a closely related field operations role is required
- Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience is strongly preferred; demonstrated ability to lead a team in the field and hold people accountable to performance standards
- A strong work ethic, a coachable attitude, and a genuine willingness to learn a specialized trade are the most important qualifications for this role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — field travel is a core component of this role
- High school diploma or GED required; trade certifications, vocational training, or relevant coursework are a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Comfortable using scheduling tools and digital reporting systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment regularly (up to 75 lbs or more)
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods
- Stand and perform active physical labor for the duration of a full workday, including in outdoor and indoor environments
- Work in varying environmental conditions including heat, humidity, dust, and chemical exposure while adhering to all safety protocols
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and specialty restoration machinery safely and effectively
- Drive to and from job sites, often transporting tools and equipment
