1st & 2nd Shift CNC Machinist (Lathe & Mill)

Pay: $30.25–$35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule
- 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
- 10-hour shifts
- Fridays off every week
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (15% shift differential)
Position Summary
We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists for both 1st and 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or 4- and 5-axis CNC mills to manufacture precision aerospace components. Candidates should have aerospace machining experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to machine complex parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines.
- Follow setup sheets, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Install and set up fixtures, vises, rotaries, boring jaws, face plates, and other workholding.
- Complete first-piece inspections and make machine adjustments or offsets as needed.
- Troubleshoot machining processes and tooling issues.
- Replace worn tooling and adjust machine controls to maintain part quality.
- Machine precision aerospace components with complex features and close tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint and quality requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Aerospace machining experience required.
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or 4- and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Ability to perform machine setups using setup documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience machining precision parts with tight tolerances.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to producing quality work.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: $30.25–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
- 15% shift differential for 2nd Shift
- Full-time, direct-hire position
- Four-day work week with three-day weekends
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
