We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and efficient Ophthalmic Medical Assistant to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient history, demographics, medications, and other relevant information
- Provide medical screening services to patients while maintaining excellent customer service
- Maintain effective communication and exchange of information with colleagues and superiors, both in-person and electronically (iPad/desktop)
- Learn and operate ophthalmological devices while maintaining care and accuracy
- Independently perform glaucoma and general ophthalmology prescreening tests and workups to prepare patients for the doctor
- Prepare patients for in-office procedures
- Assist the doctor with documentation and other related tasks for patient care
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy in a fast-paced, client facing environment
- Uphold high standards of efficiency and accuracy with all medical tasks
- Ensure confidentiality of patient and company information (HIPAA)
- Take initiative to fulfill necessary clinical tasks without being prompted
- Cross-train in front desk and administrative responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned

- Flexible and cooperative with business needs
- Able to walk and stand directing patients for the majority of 8 hours
Locations and Hours
- Mon-Fri, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minute lunch)
- Commute to three office locations:
171 Elden St, Suite 100, Herndon, VA 20170
6101 Redwood Square Centre, Suite 214, Centreville, VA 20121
142 Linden Drive, Suite 107, Winchester, VA 22601 ( 2-3 times a month, travel reimbursement provided)
- Openers will arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to open the clinic and prepare for the day, and they will be the first to leave. Roles will be rotated.
