About Button Rock Bakery & Deli
Button Rock Bakery & Deli is a locally loved neighborhood bakery and deli serving handcrafted breakfast, lunch, baked goods, and desserts. Our kitchen focuses on a high-quality American deli menu featuring made-from-scratch soups, sandwiches, sauces, and Chef specials.
We believe great food starts with consistency, teamwork, and taking pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen. We're looking for a dependable line cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to producing quality food every day.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items with speed and consistency
- Work multiple stations including grill, flat top, fryer, sandwich line, and prep
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistent quality
- Prepare soups, sauces, proteins, sides, and other scratch-made ingredients
- Assist with daily prep, catering orders, and grab-and-go production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure excellent guest experiences
- Help with receiving, stocking, and proper product rotation
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-focused kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience (3+ years preferred)
- Experience in high-volume breakfast or lunch kitchens preferred
- Strong knife skills and solid understanding of kitchen fundamentals
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Food safety knowledge or ServSafe certification is a plus
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time
- Daytime operation only — no late nights
- Kitchen hours: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Scheduled shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM based on business needs
- Pay: $18–$20 per hour based on experience
- Shared tips averaging $3–$4 per hour
- One week paid PTO annually
