We are looking for a versatile, detail-oriented carpenter to join our team as a Multi Skilled Carpenter. In this role, you will help homeowners and business owners maintain, repair, and improve their spaces. At Ace Handyman Services, you will work on a wide variety of small to medium projects, from fixing decks and installing trim to hanging doors and repairing drywall. You will have the independence of working directly with customers on-site, backed by the scheduling, support, and reputation of a trusted brand.
On a day-to-day basis, success means arriving on time to scheduled appointments, discussing the scope of work clearly with the customer, and executing the job with high attention to detail. You will manage your time efficiently, keep your work area clean, and leave customers feeling confident in the quality of your craftsmanship.
Over time, success in this role means establishing yourself as a reliable expert in your local community. You will maintain high customer satisfaction scores, complete projects safely and within estimated timelines, and work collaboratively with our office dispatch team to keep your schedule running smoothly.
- Proven experience in finish carpentry, rough carpentry, and general home repairs (such as drywall repair, door installation, and trim work).
- Your own standard set of hand and power tools appropriate for general carpentry and home maintenance.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable, clean truck or utility van to transport yourself and your tools to job sites safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain repair options clearly to customers.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
- The ability to pass a background check, as you will be entering customers' homes.
- Basic knowledge of other trades, such as light plumbing, basic electrical (replacing light fixtures or outlets), or tiling.
- Experience using digital scheduling or invoicing applications on a smartphone or tablet.
- Prior experience working in residential remodeling or customer-facing home repair services.
- Consistent, year-round full-time work with a predictable W-2 schedule.
- The support of an office team that handles all marketing, scheduling, billing, and customer service so you can focus on your craft.
