Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician and/or <PERSON>, where your passion for helping children and individuals with developmental disabilities will make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral therapies, primarily Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to support clients on their journey toward greater independence and improved quality of life. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans, assist with daily activities, and collect vital behavioral data in both home and school settings. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence.
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed by licensed behavior analysts to support clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies aligned with special education principles.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavior management records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and team members to ensure consistent care and progress updates.
- Adhere strictly to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering direct behavioral therapy.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and experience implementing ABA therapy protocols.
- Strong skills in data collection, behavior management, and client communication.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health needs in various settings including home-based environments and schools.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards.
- Prior experience working within special education or school environments is highly desirable.
- Commitment to ethical practices, patient care, and professional growth in behavioral health services.
