Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Deli/Grill Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! Monday-Friday 6 am- 2 pm. In this role, you will be the heart of our food service operation, preparing delicious deli items, grilling flavorful dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your energy and culinary expertise will create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, delivering exceptional meals that keep them coming back for more. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli sandwiches, salads, and hot grill items with precision and care
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented beautifully
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food storage and prep stations
- Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients responsibly to prevent contamination
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials
- Serve customers promptly with friendly, attentive service that enhances their dining experience
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food according to specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide functions is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in fine dining or catering environments is desirable but not mandatory
