Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver
Location: TMC Transport, Stuart, Florida
Job Summary: TMC Transport in Vero Beach and Stuart location, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver to join our team. To be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year of prior experience transporting patients to and from appointments. You must have a clean driving record, and be able to past a background check! Schedule flexibility is required and candidate's start and end times may vary based on patient transport needs.
Responsibilities:
- Safe Transport: Operate company vehicles, including vans and shuttles, to transport patients to and from medical appointments and facilities in a safe and timely manner.
- Patient Care: Provide compassionate and courteous service to patients, ensuring a comfortable and secure ride. Assist patients with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety protocols.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and in good working order. Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and dispatch, providing updates and addressing any concerns or special needs.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and submit any required documentation related to patient transport and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or a similar role, preferably with experience in non-emergency medical transport.
- Driving Skills: Proven ability to safely operate various types of vehicles with a strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Customer Interaction: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and their families.
- Physical Capability: Ability to assist with the lifting and moving of patients or equipment as needed.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to work 2 weekends out of the month
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Transport Experience: Previous experience in non-emergency medical transport or a related healthcare field is advantageous.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Vero Beach and surrounding areas is a plus.
