Set your own consultation schedule within our standard service hours, which include Monday to Friday and some Saturdays. What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive virtual consultations for patients in post-acute care facilities across Florida.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide spectrum of hematological conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, blood cancers, and other complex blood-related diseases.
- Develop and adjust evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, managing transfusions, and overseeing chemotherapy regimens.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including complete blood counts (CBCs), coagulation studies, and imaging, to guide treatment decisions.
- Collaborate closely with on-site nurses, facility medical directors, and primary care providers to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective hematological management.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance for hematology care programs within partner facilities, promoting best practices and optimizing patient outcomes.
- Ensure meticulous and timely documentation of all patient encounters within the EMR/EHR system in compliance with all relevant Florida and federal regulations.
- Educate facility staff on best practices for hematological care, including treatment adherence, medication management, and patient education.

Florida-Licensed Hematologist (1099, Remote Telehealth/Post-Acute, RVU-Based)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Florida Medical License: Must hold a current, unrestricted MD or DO license in the State of Florida (a dealbreaker!).
- Board Certification: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a completed hematology fellowship.
- Experience: Proven clinical experience as a practicing hematologist. Prior telehealth or post-acute care experience is a strong plus.
- Proof of Liability Insurance: Must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) as evidence of active professional liability (malpractice) coverage upon contract signing.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable and proficient using telehealth platforms, secure communication tools, and various EMR systems.
- Communication: Excellent "webside" manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport virtually.
