Responsibilities
- Assembling Marsh Master buggy from welded body to completion producing a high-quality product while maintaining the production schedule.
- Rigging out machines - install engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, electrical harnessing and wiring panels
- Troubleshooting assembly and component issues and contributing to the overall design and assembly process.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years experience in the manufacturing/assembly of machines, boats or (specialty) vehicles (may include industrial maintenance, military mechanical opccupations, automotive or diesel repair)
- Mechanically inclined and self-motivated
- Reliable and hard working
- Teachable, strong ability to retain information
- Able to work independently but also work as a team player
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight quarters
- Local candidates preferred; must be willing to commute to south Baton Rouge, LA
Who Will be Successful:
The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands and figuring out how things work. You may be someone who:
- Builds or restores cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, ATVs, or other specialty vehicles
- Works on diesel engines, heavy equipment, farm equipment, or industrial machinery
- Has experience assembling mechanical equipment or complex machinery
- Enjoys fabrication, welding, machining, or custom builds
- Can quickly learn new systems and retain technical information
- Likes troubleshooting mechanical problems rather than simply replacing parts
