Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and basic self-care tasks
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to track progress and inform treatment plans
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and functional skills through teaching and reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistency across environments such as home or school
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Use behavioral management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors during sessions
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, especially autism spectrum disorders
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and implementing ABA therapy protocols
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and client care procedures
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving independence in daily routines
- Proficiency in behavioral data collection, analyzing trends, and adjusting interventions accordingly
- Prior experience working in school or home-based settings with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays
- Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
