As a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions. You will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of surgical practices within our facility.
- Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures with precision and expertise

Evaluate patients and develop comprehensive surgical plans

Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments

Provide education and support to patients and their families

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Participate in continuous medical education and training

Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations in the surgical environment
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Active medical license to practice in the state of Arizona

Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiothoracic surgical procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment

Availability for on-site contract work as required
Level I Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Facility has 2 CVORs, 20 CVICU beds
Required Procedures: CABG, valve surgery (AVR, MVR, TAVR), ECMO, emergent post-PCI, aortic dissections, chest exploration/re-entry/post-operative bleeding management, etc.
Will work closely with the ICU team, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff
EMR: Cerner and iMed
Must be board-certified
