What You'll Do
As a Quality Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that all friction materials and finished products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves in-process and final inspections, testing of friction components, and documentation to support compliance with internal procedures and industry requirements. You'll be part of our Scan Pac Manufacturing team located in Menomonee Falls, WI. You'll get to:

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on friction products (e.g., brake pads, linings, clutch components)

Verify product conformance using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no-go gauges

Inspect critical characteristics including thickness, density, surface finish, bonding integrity, and dimensional tolerances

Conduct and/or support friction-specific testing (e.g., wear, shear strength, hardness, coefficient of friction where applicable)

Review and complete inspection reports, test records, and production documentation

Identify and document non-conforming materials; initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions

Ensure compliance with ISO standards, control plans, and work instructions

Support process audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain a clean and organized inspection area in accordance with safety and 5S standards
Pay: $20-$25 per hour depending on experience. Opportunity for an increase after 90 days of hire (based on performance)
Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred

1–3 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing (friction or automotive preferred)

Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement techniques

Basic understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T preferred

Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards is a plus

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments.
