Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, demonstrating extensive knowledge of store merchandise.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end.
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following store standards.
- Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with stocking procedures.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience in a retail environment is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating effectively with diverse customer bases.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging customers professionally.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently.
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and retail math will support success in this role.
