The Crew Member contributes to a high-quality, positive guest experience by supporting food preparation, service, and cleanliness throughout each shift. Working as part of a team, this role helps ensure guests feel comfortable, cared for, and eager to return. Through dependable work and thoughtful interactions, Crew Members help uphold the welcoming environment München Haus is known for.
Crew Members support daily restaurant operations by completing a variety of tasks across different areas of the business. Depending on the day, a Crew Member may be assigned to work in the courtyard, front service area, kitchen/grill, or beer garden, as well as assist with seasonal activities and operational needs. While the assigned area is the primary focus of a shift, Crew Members are expected to remain flexible, assist other areas as needed, and complete additional duties as assigned to support the team and guest experience.
All Positions

Crew Members are expected to assist with duties and communicate across multiple positions and areas as needed to support team operations.

Complete opening, mid‑shift, and closing tasks using assigned checklists and waste logs as required.

Uphold company standards for customer service and guest experience by interacting positively with guests, responding thoughtfully to needs, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere throughout each shift.

Maintain cleanliness throughout shift by sanitizing surfaces, cleaning floors, taking out trash, recycling, and compost, and assisting with dishwashing tasks as needed.

Ensure service areas are continuously covered during shifts by communicating with team members and checking in with leads or supervisors as needed.

Rotate between positions as needed, communicating with team members and notifying leads or supervisors when additional support or break coverage is needed to maintain scheduled staffing.
Kitchen/Grill
-
Set up, maintain, and break down equipment for daily operations while cleaning and sanitizing prep and customer service areas, including stainless surfaces and condiment stations.

Prepare food and maintain consistent high-quality food preparation and service throughout shift.

Maintain sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness of all kitchen areas.

Greet and assist guests by providing friendly service and helpful information about menu items and orders, and promptly addressing or communicating any issues to help ensure a positive experience.

Stock, rotate, and restock food and service items in all storage and service areas as needed.
Courtyard
-
Set up, maintain, and break down entire dining area for customer service, including main courtyard, balcony, and street seating, ensuring all tables, benches, and stools are clean and properly stationed.

Set up, stock, maintain, and break down customer service items and condiment bars, ensuring dispensers and surfaces are clean and ready for guest use.

Put away deliveries and stock, rotate, and restock food and service items across all storage and service areas as needed.

Keep work areas, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitized, with inventory properly organized and rotated, including in both walk-in units.

Circulate the courtyard and make frequent passes through all customer areas, greeting guests, offering assistance as needed, and helping maintain a welcoming environment.

Bus tables by clearing all dishes and wiping all surfaces thoroughly with sanitizer towel.
-
During all service hours and at closing, wash dishes, sort waste, clean sinks, stock clean dishes and silverware, and remove trash, recycling, and compost from all service areas, including restrooms.
Front
-
Set up, maintain, and break down service areas by cleaning and sanitizing menus, displays, stainless surfaces, front counters, and equipment, and keeping menus stocked and ready for guest use.

Set up, maintain, and break down the front customer service area, including line control equipment, umbrellas, and chalk signage, ensuring they are clean, updated, and properly placed during service.

Prepare, stock, maintain, and break down drink supplies before, during, and after the shift, ensuring freshness, quality, and sufficient supply throughout service hours.

Prepare, stock, maintain, and break down daily-use items throughout the shift, including disposables, service counter items, refrigerated products, chips, merchandise displays, and other supplies as needed.

Set up and maintain the register by following cash-handling policies, accurately monitoring cash and change in the till, and reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor.

Welcome and assist guests by providing friendly, attentive service, accurately processing orders and payments, and promptly addressing or communicating any issues to help ensure a positive experience.

Communicate and assist across service areas by monitoring customer lines and grill ticket volume, passing out menus, helping start orders as needed, and supporting smooth service flow.
Beer Garden

Set up, maintain, and break down the service area by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and stocking glassware, drinks, merchandise, and other supplies as needed.

Set up and maintain the register by following cash-handling policies, accurately monitoring cash and change in the till, and reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor.

Welcome and assist guests by providing friendly, attentive service, accurately processing orders and payments, and promptly addressing or communicating any issues to help ensure a positive experience.

Assist with courtyard cleanup in customer areas by circulating the space, greeting guests, clearing tables, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain a clean and welcoming guest environment.

Monitor dates and rotate inventory for open items and kegs, maintain cleanliness and organization of coolers, remove empty kegs as needed, and accurately log waste in accordance with procedures.

Accurately complete daily logbook documentation and promptly report any incidents to management.
Other Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Support seasonal and operational needs across the property, including weather mitigation tasks, plant care, special use permit seating setup and maintenance, and other facility-related tasks as assigned to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

This position may be required to conduct training shifts for new hires in specific situations, including but not limited to during onboarding periods, process updates, or when additional support is needed to ensure team readiness.

Prolonged periods of standing in one stationary area, as well as frequent walking, bending and reaching with hands and arms.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving hands, wrists and arms.

Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, sanitation chemicals and water.

Ability to work in spaces with potentially large swings in temperature, or in sustained cold or hot conditions (indoor and/or outdoor).

Ability to transport up to 60 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.

Ability to work in a moderate to loud, fast-paced environment.

Exposure to typical restaurant conditions, including wet floors, hot surfaces, and sharp objects.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively support high-volume operations while maintaining quality and composure.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be at least 18 years old to work on the grill and operate specialized kitchen equipment.

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol in the Beer Garden.

Must be able to consistently carry products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 60 pounds.

Must be able to remain on one's feet for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Must have good communication skills.
