Mid Michigan Auto Spa is a premium automotive appearance and reconditioning company specializing in professional detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and vehicle restoration services. We work on everything from daily drivers to high-end vehicles, boats, RVs, motorcycles, and specialty vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Detail Technician who takes pride in their craft, pays attention to the smallest details, and has a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of paint correction, polishing techniques, ceramic coating preparation and installation, and understands the level of care required for premium vehicles. This position requires someone who can independently complete high-level detailing services while maintaining our standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service automotive details including interior and exterior services.
- Perform multi-step paint corrections including cutting, polishing, and finishing stages.
- Properly prep vehicles for ceramic coating applications.
- Apply ceramic coatings following professional installation procedures.
- Identify paint defects, imperfections, and correction opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Safely handle customer vehicles with care and professionalism.
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years professional automotive detailing experience.
- Strong experience with paint correction and rotary & DA machine polishing.
- Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems, defects, and correction techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable transportation and clean valid driver’s license.
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Experience working on luxury, exotic, or specialty vehicles.
- Experience with boats, RVs, motorcycles, or high-end vehicles.
- Knowledge of different ceramic coating brands and products.
- Experience in a professional detail shop environment.
