San Simeon by the Sound is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment, resident areas, and common spaces.
Maintain facility grounds, walkways, and exterior areas.
Assist with emergency repairs and facility preparedness activities.
Move equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, commercial, residential, or institutional settings preferred.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
