Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Framing Carpenter in Tinley Park, IL. We are seeking skilled Framing Carpenters for contract opportunities in Tinley Park, IL, focusing on diverse commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both metal and wood framing for multifamily housing, warehouses, schools, and retail developments.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25 to $35 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Construct metal and wood framing systems for multifamily and commercial structures
- Install interior and exterior wall systems according to architectural blueprints and specifications
- Layout and install floor systems, roof rafters, and trusses for warehouses and school buildings
- Read and interpret construction drawings to ensure precise framing and structural integrity
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials using a variety of hand and power tools
- Verify that all framing work is level, plumb, square, and meets site-specific requirements
- Coordinate with project leads and other trades to ensure timely completion of framing phases
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to all OSHA safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in professional framing carpentry for commercial or residential builds
- Proven proficiency in both wood and metal/steel stud framing techniques
- Background working on multifamily, warehouse, school, or retail construction projects
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex blueprints and construction diagrams
- Strong knowledge of structural framing methods and local building codes
- Reliable transportation to and from project sites in the Tinley Park area
- Possession of personal hand and power tools necessary for framing carpentry tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for the duration of a standard shift
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and extreme temperature conditions
- Manual dexterity and coordination for operating tools and maneuvering materials
- Balance and agility required for navigating unfinished construction sites
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
