Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Attorney to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The attorney will advise clients on immigration matters, prepare and file petitions and applications, interpret immigration laws and policies, and represent clients in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will stay current on immigration policy changes and work closely with clients to achieve successful outcomes.

Leadership includes an attorney with more than 20 years of immigration experience, including senior federal roles within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and extensive expertise in removal defense, humanitarian visas, and appellate litigation.
We specialize in humanitarian relief, with a strong commitment to serving clients pursuing protections under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and T Visas for victims of human trafficking. Our work involves strategic litigation, detailed case management, compassionate client advocacy, and a strong emphasis on compliance with federal immigration regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience or familiarity with immigration law
- Excellent legal writing skills and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and a professional approach to client representation
- Experience with legal administrative tasks is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneous
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with humanitarian categories such as VAWA, U Visa, and T Visa
- Knowledge of immigration court processes and case strategies
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish
- Additional relevant legal experience will be considered
