Duties
- Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment to pick orders with precision.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklift trucks.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Manage order picking tasks accurately within warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring correct items are selected for shipping or inventory.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, maintaining safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations, and ensuring a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions, improve workflow, and uphold safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs when necessary.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy.
- Previous warehouse experience involving shipping & receiving, heavy lifting, and order picking is highly desirable.
