Position: Production Associate / General Labor (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Appleton, WI -
Shift: 12-hour 1st & 2nd shift: 6am-6pm, or 6pm-6am (2-2-3 Schedule)
*Pay Increase after 3 months**
Job Summary
Our client is seeking dependable Production Associates to support a fast-paced food manufacturing operation. This role involves hands-on production work including sorting, inspecting, and packaging products while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform production tasks such as filling, sorting, inspecting, and packaging products
- Manually place and position product on conveyor lines in a repetitive work environment
- Monitor product quality and report any defects or issues early in the process
- Assist with basic machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed
- Maintain clean work areas and equipment following food safety and GMP standards
- Complete required production documentation accurately (paper and/or digital)
- Support machine operators with equipment setup, start-ups, shutdowns, and basic troubleshooting
- Operate a forklift and assist with material movement (once trained)
- Follow all safety, PPE, and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred (food production preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented with a positive, reliable work ethic
- Willingness to learn new tasks and work in different areas as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours depending on shift)
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms
- Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and twisting
- Must have good vision (close, distance, color, and depth perception)
