Overview
A CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture parts according to technical drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of machining processes.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
Input, edit, or modify CNC programs as needed
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Adjust machine settings to improve production efficiency
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Document production and quality records
