This position is based at the Terminal Facility, LQF or PTF, with travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prioritize safety above all tasks, ensuring both personal safety and the safety of other personnel during all maintenance and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with FLNG safety standards, procedures, and PPE requirements, incorporating safety into every stage of repair, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Reliability Monitoring and Analysis
Monitor the performance of electrical systems, proactively identify issues and negative trends that could impact reliability or lead to process failures.
Establish or improve equipment monitoring capabilities, including the implementation of equipment monitoring systems to prevent unexpected failures.
Perform on-site inspection/review of parts (new, used, or refurbished) for completeness or damage, as applicable.
Advise with respect to the parts provided (or required to be provided), including identifying any missing spare parts.
Work with Engineering team to conduct regular reviews of maintenance activities associated with VFD Systems.
- Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis
Conduct basic “5 Why” analyses for equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Facilitate formal root cause investigations, sharing insights into repair techniques and recurring failure modes.
Collaborate with engineers and maintenance technicians to implement solutions that address chronic failures, improving long-term reliability.
Engage in equipment disassembly and existing condition evaluation to determine potential root causes for equipment failure. Oversees equipment rebuilds to ensure proper reassembly. Identify any necessary hold points for critical equipment.
- Procedure Development and Quality Control
Develop, review, and refine maintenance and repair procedures, ensuring alignment with quality control standards and incorporating necessary repair details for optimal execution.
Ensure consistent application of these procedures by maintenance teams, contributing to the standardization of high-quality repair practices across the site.
Ensure repairs, repair techniques, and equipment specific training are documented and retained per the records management requirements. (Including control system changes or modifications)
Provide assessments of parts storage and maintenance and making necessary storage recommendations
Application of Best Practices and Standards
Promote the use of the Most Effective Technology (MET) in all maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to industry best practices in procedures and techniques.
Drive the use of structured work processes and operating disciplines at the plant level, advocating for consistent, high-quality work methods across VFD systems.
- Condition-Based and Preventive Maintenance
Perform and evaluate results from Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) and Preventive Predictive Maintenance (PPM) activities, making recommendations to address identified issues.
Leverage data from CBM and PPM to predict equipment health and schedule maintenance activities before failures occur, enhancing equipment uptime and reliability.
