Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Square to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent service and answering questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using POS systems
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and serving
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment
