Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Location: Onsite (U.S.-based, with ~50% travel domestically and internationally)

Position Summary
The Quality Control role at Ace Engineering is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of ESS (Energy Storage System) enclosures and specialized container solutions across all stages of production and deployment. This position supports the company’s “ESS Total Solution” business model by maintaining high-quality standards from design validation through manufacturing, installation, and after-sales service. Leveraging Ace Engineering’s extensive engineering expertise and accumulated field data—built from over 30,000 units supplied and 30GWh of ESS projects delivered—the Quality Control function plays a critical role in verifying that products meet rigorous global requirements and perform optimally under diverse environmental conditions, including seismic activity, extreme weather, and high thermal loads.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee end-to-end quality strategy for ESS enclosures and specialized container manufacturing, ensuring alignment with global standards and customer requirements
· Manage and develop the quality engineering team, setting clear objectives, KPIs, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
· Establish and optimize quality management systems, processes, and procedures across production, suppliers, and field operations
· Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle
· Own non-conformance management (NCR), leading root cause analysis and ensuring effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
· Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to enhance product reliability and operational efficiency
· Lead supplier quality strategy, including supplier qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and development across global supply chains
· Oversee product validation, testing, and certification processes to ensure performance under diverse environmental and operational conditions
· Lead and manage third-party and certification audits, including preparation, coordination, and successful execution of external audit requirements
· Act as the primary escalation point for critical customer quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong client relationships
· Ensure successful execution of internal and external audits while maintaining compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements
· Utilize manufacturing and field data analytics to drive strategic quality improvements and support business decision-making
· Take ownership of urgent and high-impact quality issues, including responding outside of regular working hours when required
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs and organizational objectives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
· 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in ESS, industrial equipment, or heavy manufacturing sectors
· Strong expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and global standards applicable to energy or industrial products
· Proven leadership in applying advanced quality methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, SPC, RCA, and CAPA across complex manufacturing operations
· Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
· Extensive experience in supplier quality management, including supplier audits, development, and global supply chain coordination
· Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and translate them into robust quality control strategies
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement
· Proven capability to lead and develop cross-functional teams while effectively communicating with global stakeholders and customers
· Fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal) required
· Willingness and accountability to manage and resolve critical quality issues outside of regular working hours when necessary
· Experience in establishing and scaling manufacturing and quality processes in new production environments is highly desirable
