Duties

- Execute food preparation tasks including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods to meet recipe specifications.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials to enhance customer experience.
- Support food production during high-volume service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Handle food safely during all stages of preparation, handling ingredients with care and adhering to proper food handling protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of meals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly in fine dining or high-volume kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures.
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with food handling standards.
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of catering, meal preparation, and food service operations is highly desirable.
