Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting heavy objects, moving furniture, and transporting cleaning supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain the cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
- Use custodial equipment efficiently for tasks such as buffing floors, vacuuming carpets, and polishing surfaces to enhance facility presentation.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor care, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning supplies is required for safe operations.
