Medical Assistant
Capital Region Orthopaedics is currently seeking Medical Assistants to work with physicians & patients in our busy Orthopaedic clinic. Our Medical Assistants will have the versatility to work with any of our Orthopaedic Physicians performing the duties listed below. MA certification is not required. Please note that this position does not involve clinical duties such as h&p's, vitals, blood draws, etc. This position is full time - days.
Medical Assistant Duties Include:
· Escort patients to their room
· Taking patient history
· Reviews EHR charts to ensure the physician has all pertinent reports for the visit, Call to obtain reports if they are not in the chart
· Refer patients to outside facilities with physician direction
· Pull up x-rays
· Facilitate patient flow between cast room, x-ray, & exam rooms
· Schedule diagnostic testing
· Provide scripts (PT, meds, blood work, & diagnostic testing)
· Clean & stock pods
· Help fill out disability forms
· Scan documents into patients EHR chart
Job Type: Full-time; reliable transportation and willingness to work in any of our office locations is a must.
