Job Description:
As a Landscape Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a crew of landscaping professionals while ensuring the highest quality of service and efficiency in every project. You’ll play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations, including mowing lawns, maintaining equipment, and managing both residential and commercial properties. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate the team, maintain standards, and execute tasks with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership: Lead and supervise a crew of landscaping professionals to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to company standards.
- Lawn Maintenance: Oversee lawn mowing and general landscaping duties to maintain a neat and attractive appearance for both residential and commercial properties.
- Quality Control: Ensure high standards of quality for every job, providing ongoing feedback to the crew and clients.
- Efficient Job Management: Organize daily schedules and prioritize tasks to optimize crew productivity and project timelines.
- Client Interaction: Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing guidance and training to crew members, fostering skill development and team cohesion.
- Safety & Maintenance: Enforce safety protocols on-site and ensure that equipment is maintained, cleaned, and in top working condition.
- Project Execution: Manage lawn mowing and general maintenance tasks to ensure the property is well-kept.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping and crew leadership, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Lawn Care Knowledge: Solid understanding of lawn care techniques and equipment operation.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to providing high-quality work with a keen eye for detail.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at once while keeping the crew on track.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Safety Minded: Knowledge of and commitment to enforcing safety standards on all job sites.
