Coordinates all aspects of kitchen operations, including staffing, purchasing, storage, preparation, and service of food. In conjunction with management staff is responsible for hiring, training and managing kitchen support staff. Purchases or requisitions food items, supplies and equipment. Participates in menu planning process. Responsible for food production and apportioning to insure standards of quality and to control food costs. Supervises production of special diet items. Ensures that appropriate standards of sanitation and safety are maintained at all times in the kitchen area to meet all federal, state and local regulations as well as health codes. Moderately heavy physical labor required. Extensive walking. Must have the ability to left 25 pounds and occasionally more.
Must have reliable transportation, vehicle insurance and Driver's license
Basic math and computer, knowledge of kitchen equipment, procedures
2 years supervisory experience as head cook or chef preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
