Position Summary
ICP is seeking a Philadelphia Licensed Electrician / Security Systems Technicians to support ongoing security system installations across the Philadelphia School District. The role involves low-voltage cabling, conduit installation, and support for IP-based CCTV deployments using Hanwha cameras and Genetec software. This is a field-based position requiring travel to various school locations throughout the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Cable Pathway Installation
Plan and install cable routes using surface raceway, conduit, or tray, ensuring clean and organized infrastructure.
Install EMT and flexible conduit, including accurate measuring, cutting, and bending to support low-voltage systems.
- Low-Voltage Cable Pulling & Termination
Pull, label, and terminate Cat6 and fiber optic cabling per project standards and manufacturer specifications.
Mount and connect IP cameras and related components according to drawings and field layouts.
Trace and troubleshoot cable paths, verify terminations, and assist with pre-functional testing as needed.
Requirements
Must hold an active Electrical License issued by the City of Philadelphia.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience.
- At least 2 years working with low-voltage or security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.).
- Travel
Ability to travel to job sites throughout the School District of Philadelphia.
- Skills
- Expertise with Cat6 and fiber optic terminations.
- Comfortable working as part of a field team.
- Able to read and follow project plans, risers, and cabling diagrams.
