Maintenance Technician Van Hoekelen Greenhouses, Inc. – McAdoo, PA
Van Hoekelen Greenhouses, Inc., the largest bulb greenhouse in the Northeastern United States, is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the efficiency, safety, and continuous operation of our greenhouse facilities.
Position Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on greenhouse machinery, equipment, and facility systems.

Conduct building maintenance tasks, including concrete work and general construction.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and gas boiler systems.

Utilize hand tools and power tools in a safe and effective manner.

Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.

Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance, including Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reporting (experience preferred).

Accurately document maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned to maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in machine repair, concrete work, and general building maintenance.

Proficiency in the safe operation of hand tools and power tools.

Experience working with gas boilers required.

Familiarity with greenhouse systems and operations preferred.

Knowledge of DEP and EPA reporting processes a plus.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Schedule and Compensation:

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with overtime as required.

Competitive hourly wage of $25.00 – $30.00, commensurate with experience.
