As the Compliance & Inventory Specialist at Satori, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) regulations while supporting inventory accuracy and reporting across the organization. This position serves as the primary administrator for state compliance reporting, product registrations, laboratory testing coordination, and inventory reconciliation.
The Compliance & Inventory Specialist will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations, Director of Finance & Administration, and department managers to maintain accurate inventory records, support regulatory compliance, and improve operational efficiencies. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced cannabis manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Cannabis Compliance –
- Compile, verify, and submit required Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) inventory reports and regulatory filings.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Vermont CCB Portal.
- Record and link Harvest Process Lots and Manufacturer Process Lots to ensure complete seed-to-sale traceability.
- Generate, review, and submit Transfer and Acquisition documentation for inventory movements between licenses.
- Coordinate multi-license inventory reporting and assist with regulatory filings as needed.
- Document product waste, destruction, sampling, and inventory adjustments in accordance with state regulations.
- Submit and maintain all product registrations through the Vermont CCB Portal.
- Coordinate laboratory testing with licensed testing facilities.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for compliance with Vermont testing requirements.
- Maintain digital COA records and ensure batch-specific testing results are available for customers and dispensary partners.
- Monitor changes to Vermont cannabis regulations and communicate compliance updates to leadership.
Inventory Support – In collaboration with the Director of Finance & Administration:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within Canix, including package consolidation, inventory cleanup, and receiving.
- Support department managers in maintaining accurate cannabis and non-cannabis inventory records.
- Perform monthly inventory audits and assist with inventory variance reporting.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and facilitate appropriate inventory adjustments.
- Assist with monthly inventory reporting and reconciliation.
- Support department managers with monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Non-Cannabis Inventory (NCI) counts.
- Validate physical inventory counts against Canix and internal inventory records.
General Responsibilities –
- Maintain accurate electronic records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality of company information.
- Assist with process improvements related to compliance and inventory management.
- Support cross-functional projects as assigned by leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with the Cannabis Control Board.
· Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Vermont CCB Employee Identification Card.
· 1–3 years of experience in cannabis compliance, inventory management, quality assurance, finance, or a related field preferred.
· Experience with seed-to-sale software such as Canix or similar inventory management systems preferred.
· Experience working with ERP systems, inventory software, or Microsoft Excel.
· Strong understanding of inventory management and reconciliation principles.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
