This Level 2 Technician will be responsible for remote and onsite IT technical services for our growing customer base primarily located around the central mountain area. Position responsibilities:
- Assist with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of line of business equipment/software, including but not limited to: Workstations, laptops, printers, copiers, VOIP phone systems/phones, physical networks, anti-virus/EDR solutions, MS Office products, including cooperating with first-line vendor support on business applications such as Caselle, QuickBooks, Lacerte, Sage, Tyler, and many others.
- Work with an industry-standard PSA/Ticket system with SLA objectives under a dispatching system.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, escalation points, and third-party vendors as necessary to come to a solution.
- Connect remotely to assist clients and/or be required to travel to customer locations for troubleshooting/repair purposes if necessary.
- Work within a fast-paced technical environment.
- Update and manage technical documentation for clients and/or internal documentation.
To be a good candidate, you MUST:
- Be capable of delivering excellent customer service to end-users
- Have excellent troubleshooting skills both hardware and software
- Have reliable, direct and appropriate transportation for all Colorado weather conditions
- Have solid working knowledge with Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting, including desktop and laptop hardware
- Have experience with Office 365, both cloud environment and business software suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, Onedrive), E and G tenants including license structure
- Have confident and capable understanding of IP Networking and routing, subnetting, VLANs, including switches, routers, gateways and firewalls as well as protocols like SMB, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, for troubleshooting purposes
- Have a desire to grow and adapt technically as the needs of the client demand
- Be self-starting and capable of self-management when not in direct contact with peers
- Be capable of working in a Team environment, and to be mentored and mentor in-kind
- Must be comfortable with MDM platforms
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Have good understanding of LDAP and Active Directory including group policy troubleshooting (RSOP), OU membership, security groups, print management.
- Have some familiarity or experience working with remote access tools and/or RMM technologies (Teamviewer, Kaseya, Connectwise, etc)
- Understanding PowerShell scripting including leveraging those scripts in a managed environment.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: A+, Network+, MTA-Productivity, or other relevant certifications
Non-technical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a standard CBI background check
- PTG is CJIS certified and the tech must pass the certification test post-employment.
- Must be comfortable working around local law enforcement, first-responders and government entities. This may also require passing additional certification
- Must have ability to work within a standard work week 8a-5p M-F, company holidays notwithstanding
- Technician should be based within 1-hour of Fairplay, CO.

$55,000 - $60,000.00 per year
